General Purchase Information
- Product Descriptions: All items are clearly described. If you are unsure about a product, please contact us by phone or email before purchasing. We strongly recommend checking with a professional mechanic to confirm that any part is correct for your vehicle before you buy it.
- Availability: To avoid disappointment, please check with us to confirm stock availability before finalizing your purchase.
Returns and Refunds
- Returns Period: Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (which superseded the Distance Selling Regulations), you have 14 calendar days after receiving your delivery to cancel your order.
- Time Limit for Returns: Items must be returned within 14 working days of cancellation. Items returned after this 14-working-day period will incur a 25% handling charge.
- How to Return: To return an item, please send a message through our website or email us at info@japeurocarparts.co.uk. We will provide you with the return address and a returns number, which must be included with the returned product.
- Condition of Items: We will process your refund through PayPal or the original payment card within 48 hours of receiving the goods, provided they are undamaged and in a resalable condition.
- Electrical Items: We do not accept returns on electrical items for a refund. We will, however, exchange any faulty electrical item for the correct part.
- Non-Returnable Items: Special ordered or custom-manufactured items cannot be returned.
- Your Responsibility for Returns: You are responsible for any loss or damage to the goods from the time they are delivered to you until we receive them back. Therefore, please only send items back to us using a trackable and insured postal service.
- Overseas Returns: For international orders, all return and reshipping costs are the customer's liability. It is the buyer's responsibility to return items at their own expense; the return postage will not be refunded.
- Returns of "Free Postage" Items: When returning an item for a refund that is no longer required or was bought by mistake, and was originally sent with free postage, we will deduct the actual cost of our initial postage and packaging from your refund.
Lost Parcels
- Royal Mail Policy: Royal Mail stipulates that items sent by 1st Class, 2nd Class, Standard Parcels, and Recorded Signed For are not officially considered lost until 15 working days after the due delivery date.
Warranty Claims
- Warranty Duration: If a product becomes faulty, we can replace it within a 12-month period from the date of purchase.
- Resolutions: If we cannot replace the product, we will offer a like-for-like alternative or issue a full refund.
- Labour Charges: Our warranty is limited to the cost of the goods purchased only. We do not cover any labour charges incurred for the removal or replacement of faulty goods.
International Orders: Customs and Duty
- Payment Liability: When your goods arrive in your country after leaving the UK, you will be responsible for paying any applicable duties and taxes to your government.
- Our Responsibility: We do not accept any responsibility for these charges. They are levied by your government or the shipping companies tasked with collecting them on your government's behalf.
- Release of Goods: These duties and taxes must be paid to the government or the shipping company before they can release the goods for final delivery.
